Stone Pale Ale

Happy 4th of July to my American readers and relatives and friends in the U.S. Today also marks the Filipino-American friendship day. Cheers to everyone!
And because its the American independence day, my drink for tonight is an American craft beer from Stone Brewing Company of California, Stone Pale Ale.

The beer has a small head, dark amber in appearance with hints of fruity aroma but very light. This is hardcore beer at its finest. Hoppy right from the very beginning, it is bitter although it flows smoothly on the palate leaving no trace of bitterness at the end. The flavors of hops and malt is very dominant. It has 5.4%ABV. If we are to compare it with our SMB Pale, the flavors of this beer will definitely stand out, beginners might not like this one because its quite hoppy and bitter but beer geeks loves this type of bitterness.
Personally, i have mixed emotions on this, i really loved the flavors and the appearance but i am really not that in to hoppy beers yet as of this time.
BLM score: 3.6 of 5 stars 96/100 88/100

* Notes on Stone. According to WikiStone Brewing Co. is a craft brewery headquartered in Escondido, California. Founded in 1996 in San Marcos, California,[1] it is the largest brewery in Southern California.[2] As of 2012, it was the 10th largest craft brewery in the United States and 17th largest brewery overall, based on sales volume.[3]
Established in 1996, the brewery's first beer was Stone Pale Ale,[4] which they consider to be its flagship ale.[5] Most of their beers are characteristic of west-coast craft brews, meaning that they have a high hop content. Stone beers are bottled in 22 ounce bottles, 12 oz six packs, and occasionally 3 liter bottles.[6] The beers available in six-packs are the Stone Pale Ale, Stone IPA, Stone Levitation Ale, Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale, and Stone Ruination IPA. Stone uses 22 ounce bottles to feature their "bigger character" beers and Stone Special Releases.[6] Compared to most brewers, many Stone brews feature alcohol percentages that are well above average. The alcohol-by-volume content of Stone brews ranges from 4.4% to well over 11%.[7]
Stone Brewing is rated as a "world class brewery" by the two largest beer enthusiast websites, RateBeer andBeerAdvocate.[8][9] Stone Brewing has been voted by the readers of Beer Advocate as the #1 "All Time Top Brewery on Planet Earth."[10]
